This GIS dataset contains 23 different computed land masks of characteristic sea level high stand/ low stand with respect to the relative sea level (RSL) for events and intervals during a period from 200 ka BP until today in Europe, the Nearer East and northern parts of Africa. The sea level data was collected from modeled data published in scholarly works and derived from General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (2014) using the software QGIS and esri ArcMap.

Based on the GEBCO 2014 dataset [1], the area between the 0m coastline of today and the -120m coastline of the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM), is derived and provided in this dataset. To achieve a more realistic and higher resoluting coastline, for producing larger scale maps, the gebco dataset was interpolated from the 30 arc seconds original resolution, to a 0,001 degree resoluting raster. Geophysical field data recorded in Azraq, Jordan in 2011/2012

The central loop transient electromagnetic data were recorded in the central Azraq basin area, Jordan in two field surveys in 2011 and 2012. Two transects 5 km and 7 km long transects were investigated from the peripherie of the Azraq mudflat across its center. In total 150 soundings were recorded using either a 100x100 m transmitter loop for deep investigations down to approx. 120 m depth, or a 50x50 transmitter loop for fast transmitter turn-off times and shallow investigation. Wie läßt sich die Landschaftsnutzung von Jäger-Sammlern rekonstruieren? Ein Problem für die interdisziplinäre Arbeit ist, daß die ethnographische Forschung Belege über kurzfristige Auswirkungen von Entscheidungen liefert, Archäologen aber eher an der längerfristige Landschaftsnutzung von Jäger-Sammlern interessiert sind. Eine Lösungsmöglichkeit ist, ethnographisch informierte Handlungsstrategien mithilfe eines Simulationsmodells über einen längeren Zeitraum zu Mobilitätsmustern zusammenfassen.
