So-called “settlement areas” derived from the site distribution map of the early Neolithic in Central Europe (Preuss ed. 1998). The areas were delimited in a six steps protocol from several isolines of different site-densities (Hilpert et al. 2008; Zimmermann et al. 2004; Zimmermann et al. 2009). The distance value of the Largest Empty Circle (LEC) is 3.5 km.
