Anthropological research fieldsite for work done on the effect of sedentarisation on folk knowledge practices and subsistence in 2014-15. Farm run by parastatal Namibia Development Corporation (NBC) as employment and sedentarisation aid for =Akhwe Hai||om community, numbering around 150-200 permanent residents. Reliance on food aid observed during drought, with employment and foraging making up the rest of the income. Movement of formerly mobile community highly restricted.
